Inline Water Filters

In Line water filters are used for a variety of applications, but are most commonly used for filtering water for refrigerators and ice machines. Most inline filters utilize a 1/4" "quick connect" fitting, where you simply insert your 1/4" copper or plastic water line directly into the inlet and outlet side of the filter, without the use of any fittings. These types of connections are also referred to as push lock or push to connect fittings. These types of connections allow for easy connection and disconnection of the water lines, with a less-likelyhood of leaks, because of the lack of any fittings. Other inline filters still use 1/4" threaded openings along with quick connect or "John Guest" fittings.

InLine water filters are also commonly used in some Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water systems as a post or "polishing" filter.
