The aftermarket Supco WF290 is used in refrigerators by LG, Kenmore and others and is designed to replace the LT500P or 5231JA2002A filter. The WF290 creates better tasting water for drinking and making beverages as well as clean, clearer, healthy ice.

The filters are regular replacement filters. I think the value is buying three and having them shipped versus going looking for them in a store. Price is great too and I dont have to worry about water filters for awhile.

Tried to order the replacement filter for LG at box store online and found it to be pricey so shopped around and found discountfilters.com. Read reviews and everyone like it so I thought I'd try it. Got 3 from these guys for the same price of 1 from the factory brand so it was an easy choice. Came quickly and installed the same as the factory filter. We'll see how long it lasts. Great product!
