The aftermarket EcoAqua WF290 is used in refrigerators by LG, Kenmore and others and is designed to replace the LT500P or 5231JA2002A filter. The WF290 creates better tasting water for drinking and making beverages as well as clean, clearer, healthy ice.

Water tastes great, only con is that I had to run the water for several minutes to flush out the black residue from the filter. Looks exactly like the original filter that came with the refrigerator except that the label is different. Made in China.
