The aftermarket AquaFresh WF293 filter is used in refrigerators by Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air and others. It is designed to replace the Whirlpool # 4396701 filter. The WF293 creates better tasting water for drinking and making beverages as well as clean, clearer, healthy ice.

This filter would not thread into the refridgerator properly. The threads on the filter did not exactly match those on the OEM filter. This filter actually damaged the mating female threads on the fridge!!! DO NOT BUY!!! EPIC FAIL!!! I am an engineer in the automation industry - I know what I'm talking about!!!

Not happy that the design didn't actually line up so it sits on an angle and not flush as is supposed to. Also, shipment arrived in poor shape, but the filters were not damaged.
