DIY Whole House Sediment Filter Kit - Clear 10" HD Housing w/ Sediment Filter

Everything you need to create a whole house sediment filtration system.  THis is a very common filtering system for well water applications. A whole house system improves the quality of the water that enters your home by reducing impurities, sediment, rust, dirt, and scale.   The reduction of these contaminants provides better water for drinking and bathing and extends the life of devices like washing machines, water heaters, and other household appliances that use water.  The Watts brand clear filter housing is good for easy visibility to see how much capacity the filter has remaining.

System includes:

(1) 10" "Heavy Duty" CLEAR Filter Housing with 1" fNPT, Pressure Relief Button.  

(1) Mounting Bracket ( including hardware ) - the bracket you need to attach the housing to the wall close to your water main
(1) 50/5 micron Dual Gradient Sediment Cartrige (Pentek DGD-5005) - three times the dirt-holding capacity of similar sized sediment water filter cartridges
(1) Filter Sump wrench - makes it easy to loosen filter sump when changing filter
(2) SharkBite U139 Male Straight Connector 3/4"quick connect x 1" MNPT - push in connectors for inlet-outlet of housing

NOTE : Heavy Duty 10" housing will accept most standard 4-1/2" X 10" filter cartridges


Items not included that you may need for installation:
Teflon tape - wrap all threads with tape to prevent leaks
Ball valve or similar shut-off valve to be installed upstream of the filter
Replacement O-Ring for housing
