filter pluged and flow went to a drip after 3 weeks. Going to go back to Amana or try again if they will exchange for a new one. May be it is Defective?

I use this in my Amana refrigerator.
It was easy to install and doesn't leak. However, it does leave the drinking water with a chemical taste. This is even after flushing the line for nearly 10 minutes.

Great, inexpensive filter, this is my second one and it works great. Just remember to flush through several glasses of water to get it started. Other than that, I have no complaints. I live in the country and have a well and the filtered water and ice taste fine.
