The 5231JA2006A filter creates better tasting water for drinking and making beverages as well as clean, clearer, healthy ice. The 5231JA2006A is physically identical to the 5231JA2006B filter - but it is not certified to remove cysts and other impurities that the "B" filter is rated to remove.

When we moved to Dallas, I was unhappy with the tap water. It smelled like lake water. Since we are in a rental house and don't have a filter under the kitchen sink, I thought I'd have to buy bottled water for drinking from now on. I purchased these filters in hope of one last chance.
